Ralph Hagen was born on a farm near Edmonton,
Alberta, the same year Jacques Plante started
wearing a mask. I'll wait while you Google.... OK?
He has done the editorial cartoons for the Stony
Plain Reporter and Spruce Grove Examiner for the
past 20 years along with freelance work for clients,
and magazines. His cartoons appear in publications
such as the Saturday Evening Post, Prospect,
Women's World and the Canadian and American
Reader's Digest, of which he is a regular
contributor. Ralph did color work for Guy
Gilchrist, ( Muppet Babies, Nancy, Mudpie), for
two years and had two features in the weekly
DBR Media Syndicate. His new strip, The Barn
has been picked up by Creators Syndicate and
was launched in October of 2008, running in
papers nationwide.
Ralph lives with his wife Brenda, west of
Edmonton. They have three daughters and one
grandchild.
